I have the original harness on my 1974. Zener diode and Bridge rectifier, 68,000 miles, no drama. All the spade terminals as well as Snap or bullet connectors have been spritzed with spray grease. No corrosion.
not to detract from those owners who want to dothe bombproof doomsday wiring, if you want to invest the time and effort to do so certainly it works great. I did it myself for decades. One day I realized I probably won't live 150 years so I throttled back my doomsday approach to problem solving.
