E3 Spark Plugs

IMHO snake oil. do search for s a fire injectors and you will be surprised at how much alike this hokum is. the fire injectors was from the 50s.
 
I have Iridiums too but honestly didn't see much improvement in cold starting or idling from the stock NGK plugs.
Still looking for the wonder cure.
Hoped someone out there had tried the E3's before I buy a set and are then disappointed with their performance.:confused:
 
I purchased Iridiums for the VFR800 I used to own, but never used them. Then when I got my Speed Triple I thought I'd use 3 of 4. Never did. Then when Richard recommended them for the 961 I bought a fifth plug so I could use them in the Norton and the Triumph. Still haven't tried them.

Are you hanging them on the walls as exhibits?
Come on, let's get then installed already.
 
I am just trying to stay objective. The issues I have with starting the 961? It cannot possibly be due to the plugs. Now, removing the lambda sensors might help. But at this point in time I haven't acquired the caps yet. o_O

Probably true.
Since Ken (lcrken) discovered that SC-Delta will unlock the SC ecu for $200, I'll probably pull out my ecu and send it to them this winter.
Once unlocked the tuning software provides access to the IAC section of the ecu.
That's were the cold start and idling can be adjusted properly.
All of the map settings will also be modifiable.
My dyno guy is willing to tune my 961 if I can get the ecu unlocked.
 
Fred. Are you still having cold start problems?? I really haven't noticed much of a difference with the Iridiums other than a 1k faster idle. Don't ask. I don't have a clue. But the Bosch coils made the biggest difference in my bikes life. Intstant start, 2k idle for 20-30 seconds, 1200 idle with the NGK 9 and 1300 with the Iridiums.

I like that option a lot. I just wish there was an application and support forum like TuneECU. When I owned my 2003 Daytona I had at least a dozen maps to choose from and tweak, if necessary.

Cold starting/idling is still my problem. I thought it was resolved when I changed my battery.
The bike started completely differently, just as you described with no throttle, it started and jumped to 2k, then slowly returned to 1100rpm, and a nice idle.
That doesn't happen any longer.
Now I have to use throttle to get it started, and rev it for 30 seconds or so to get it to a rough idle.
It's as though after the ecu went through its learning loop after battery replacement, it reverted back to its old behavior.
Bummer!

Once the 961 is at operating temp, it's a Bitchin' ride with no issues at any rpm.
That's why I'm targeting the IAC settings in the ecu.
