I'm buttoning up my engine after installing the starter. I've read enough here to be well aware of the sprag's short life if there is a kickback at start.
I'm running a TriSpark ignition and timing is at 28 deg, will retarding the initial timing a few degrees add a kickback safety factor? What are most of you guys doing for timing with e-start? Thanks,
Jaydee

The Tri-Spark Classic Twin ignition already has a built-in anti-kickback feature so there shouldn't be any need to retard it from the standard setting.
