I just acquired a norton commndo with the full dunstall kit, fairing, tank, seat, exhaust, clip-ons and rear sets. its been in storage for at least 10 years, the tank inside looks like it has been coated
i've really no interest in a dunstall kit ,

1,is a bike with full kit worth more than a regular tank and seat etc, these days?
2,would there be any interest in a complete assembly? i would be willing to swap it for a set of parts to convert back to regular
3,or is easier to sell outright?

Dunstall has a name for performance kit. Some people might find the bike more desirable in that form. Personally, I have never believed in him, but that means nothing.

The best bit about the kit is the exhaust, the 2 into 1 into 2 was reputed to be worth an extra 5 BHP. Normally compromised the centre stand though unless it had a big loop. Any engine mods apparent? extra oil feed to the front of the cam tunnel. Looks generally tidy

I looked at your two pix. Sorry to say
A long way from a "full" dunstall kit....
You have late model tank/seat + 2-1-2 pipes but mufflers are not correct era matching mufflers and you don't have the Dunstall mounting plates.
Sell if you want, as tank/seat + pipes only(no dunstall Z plates/mufflers) + fairing/dash & clip-ons

From the pictures it looks like the exhaust, fairing, front fender and seat/tail piece.

The barrel appears to be the standard cast iron barrel so assuming no full Dunstall engine kit.

My Dunstall tank had numerous leaks. The bike was a rolling wreck when I purchased it and the tank to bottom seem was split, maybe due to the wreck but there was a pinhole in the back. I remember it weighed a ton.

A local versatile auto body shop washed the insides with Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) and pressured it up to force flush the MEK through all the cracks and holes. They air dried and then poured epoxy in and rolled it around while pressured it up with compressed air in order to seal any and all cracks and hole. It worked perfectly and that is exactly how I would recover a leaky fiberglass tank if I had to do it again.,

thanks for the comments. the bike is a 74 850 and the kit was procured from a norton dealer back in about 1976, so it may no be "a Dunstall package" and may be missing a piece here or there, but , it is what it is.

i'm going to think this over some
