It's for Triumph, but is useful for others. The tools are fairly soft aluminum so when they get mushroomed or I need something a little smaller, I just get after them with a file. I wish I had the space for a mini-lathe - I'd never buy/modify another drift!
I made one with an old Shopsmith, but it was a real PITA. A real metal lathe is needed. If you have a machinist connection, they are pretty simple.
I've never seen them for sale, except at Old Britts, where they are apparently no longer offered, although they still have a couple for seals: https://www.oldbritts.com/19_064292.html
Most of the time you don't need a real drift. You can use sockets, washers and things you find in your junkbox. It helps if you never throw anything away.
I have used impact sockets for years. But after recently getting a long metal splinter in my hand from one I had recently used as a drift, I am looking for something better. I was thinking for wheel /drum bearings first. I dont like using the axle or spacer tube for this.
