Dominator SS in the USA

That's the first time I've seen the megas with the mutes installed from the factory.

the baffles are not a genuine part and not factory fitted, and because we do not have a map that accommodates baffles, this would invalidate the warranty,
the mega's should not be fitted before 500 miles

Thank you for sharing.
I called the selling dealer on this bike and according to them they installed the baffles because the original buyer said it was to loud.
I'm disappointed that the selling dealer installed these baffles and now voided the warranty because I was a serious buyer and contacted them. I also have a Dominator Naked on order so I guess I'll be sticking with the Naked.
Can you shed some light on this question for me please.
Will the Naked be a limited production bike like the SS?
Do you think it'll become sought after like the SS?

And I'd like to ask everyone here,
Between the SS and Naked which would you buy and why?
Thank you. Scott.

hello Scott
the naked will only be produced in small numbers, because of our production method and the impending production of the V4 range on top of our existing production schedule, the naked will only be built to order. it is not a limited run, but i do believe like the SS it will be an investment.

Thats what I needed to hear thank you!
Is there anyway to check the build status of mine?
I was issued a vin number SAYDNR012GY100261

I am more of a traditionalist and would take the SS with painted frame and buffed aluminum . However , I do see the appeal of the Naked. So its SS for me if I could only have one. But if you were to ask someone say 15 to 20 years younger than me , my guess is the Naked would win out... Either way , I love those exhaust pipes and how they scream flow !

Hey Tony
I'm 45 and I love both bikes. Since I already have a 2016 Commando SF I can only choose one Dominator. When I seen the Naked a few months ago I loved the raw look of the bike, but I also love the SS. BOTH bikes are gorgeous and second to none. It's a hard pick for me as well because I like them both very much. The deal breaker on the SS that's for sale listed here are the voided warranty because of the baffles.

I would've bought an SS also but was told none were available in the USA and if so they would not have been street legal.

I could care less about investment and return. That said, I like the naked better simply because it looks tough.

Lol.
I love them both. It's like choosing between which kid you love more lol.
But I'm sticking with my Naked order.

hello all
after a long conversation with MCC (the selling dealer) about the Dominator SS, i am satisfied that this bike has been prepared correctly, and broken in on a DYNO, resulting in a well set up Motorcycle. so despite my previous comment, the warranty is valid. and i would suggest this is an opportunity to own a rare motorcycle.

I wish you were around when they were setting up my 961, Kev.

How can this be a 2017?
$45000.00usd????? Is that within reason ?
