The domain name accessnorton.com, prominently displays the registered trademark Norton causing a likelihood of confusion as to the sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement between The Norton Motorcycle Co. Limited, the trademark owner, and your business.

We have a good faith belief that such use has not been authorized by The Norton Motorcycle Co. Limited , its agents or the law, and constitutes trademark infringement.

Therefore, on behalf of The Norton Motorcycle Co. Limited, we hereby request that you cease and desist all infringements of The Norton Motorcycle Co. Limited's IPRs and permanently take down the infringing webpage(s) within 1 day after receiving this letter.

Quick update after looking into this a bit more.

I already know others in the Norton community have received the same or very similar emails, which makes this look even more like a bulk, automated outreach rather than anything specifically targeted. The email appears to come from a company called Corsearch (https://corsearch.com), which provides outsourced brand enforcement services. From what I can tell, their approach seems to rely heavily on automated scans and mass emails based on keywords and domain names.

There are also quite a few public complaints online about how they operate, including claims of inaccurate or overly broad trademark notices, automated emails with little actual review, and legitimate sites getting flagged incorrectly. Frankly, the email itself is poorly written and reads like a generic, low effort template. It looks unprofessional and does not give the impression that any real review was done before sending it out.

Based on that, this looks more like a generic third party enforcement email than any kind of direct or properly considered communication from The Norton Motorcycle Co. Limited (https://www.nortonmotorcycles.com) themselves. We would strongly prefer to engage directly with Norton Motorcycles, as this forum represents thousands of their customers and enthusiasts, and a cooperative approach would be far more beneficial for both sides than automated third party actions like this.

Just to be clear, this site is an independent enthusiast forum. There is no attempt to impersonate, mislead, or commercially exploit the Norton brand. We would much prefer a constructive and direct relationship with Norton Motorcycles, as actions like this only risk damaging that relationship rather than helping it.

No changes will be made in response to a generic third party email like this. This forum has been established for many years, is supported by a large and active community, and is not going anywhere. Rebranding is not being considered and is not something I intend to pursue. That would only be discussed if required through proper and legitimate channels, not based on a mass, template style notice.

If there is a genuine concern, it should be presented clearly, directly, and through verifiable channels with confirmed authority and specific details. Anything less than that will not be taken seriously. Given the number of similar complaints and the pattern this follows, this will also be documented and submitted to the Better Business Bureau and other relevant platforms for transparency.

If needed, we will also explore all available options to protect our position, including responding formally and pursuing our own legal avenues. If anyone else here has received something similar or has experience dealing with this kind of notice, please comment or message me. The more information we can gather as a community, the better.

I have a friend (actually a Norton owner as well) who was a lawyer in New York, his email signature was someting like "May your days be filled with lawyers - an ancient Mexican curse"

I posted this so others can find this post about Corsearch (it will resolve in google searches) if they get the same email. Even though this was only posted today, I expect plenty of people will see it, and it should help clear things up for anyone else who gets one.
