Back to Nigel's original post. I'm happy to donate, but to where/who?

Besides donating, world-wide we need to get rid of the politicians that cause this sort of thing. For instance, Cuba should be one of the richest countries in the world - near perfect climate close to the US. Our government shuts down a pipeline project that would have been an improvement for Canada and the US but bolsters one for Russia, which Germany finally shut down. Anyone whose been to S. Korea knows that it's one of the most industrious places on earth, but N. Korea...

I can't believe that the Russian people, when they know the truth, are behind Putin. Unfortunately, the news media can't seem the tell what truth is and what is their personal opinion. I hope people like Arnold (terminator) keep speaking out - the truth needs to get to the Russian people.

Wouldn't it be nice if there really was an MI6, CIA, Mission Impossible Team, or James Bond to correct these issues?
 
Before we cast aspersions on Russia, look at what a mess the western political system is right now. After two years of BS of one sort or another with the virus, over night it is all forgotten and we went from banging on pans like a bunch of idiots to flying other peoples national flag with few of us knowing who they are, much less where they are, but with complete assurance that we are doing The Right Thing. Utter bollocks.
As a first worlder I am terminally embarrassed when I contemplate Our Leadership, only to realize 50+% of the citizenry have no issue with it and would vote them all in again given half a chance.
You get the government you deserve.

I have never wished death on any … however after binge watching the Jack Ryan series …. Can’t help but wonder why Putrid continues to walk this earth , a take away from show was we all breath because we are not targets of “eye in sky tech” , one push of button and target is usually toast …. at this point seems a fair trade …. Enough if war , starvation and greed , and other inexplicable motivations … sorry for my rant , just not comfortable watching history repeat itself …..

They are the drone makers in Eastern Ukraine who started off privately developing and making drones. They did so well they were made a division of the Ukrainian Army. Donations go to making more drones and operating them so not humanitarian. They have had my support.

Note, it’s a disaster emergency outfit, their objective is helping the innocent victims. If you wish to contribute to the war effort it’s not the place to donate.

Initially miss-read the link in your original post - thank you, donation made.

I don't mind supporting the war effort personally but wanted to make a business donation and that needed to be humanitarian.
 
I have no problems with Russians if only they all knew the truth, no one wants wars and the only people who cause troubles in the world are dictators and the countries who are run by dictators their people will never know the truth as they control all of them, but once the bodies of their sons who are forced into service will be the only time the people know when things are going bad for them and their living standards get even worst, but of course their leader/leaders will always blame the western world, everyone is out to get us attitude from their leaders.
Putin is blaming Naziesim for going in but then he wants to look at himself in the mirror as he is doing what the Nazi's did, he is now resorting to wipe out all as things are not going his way.
It took the whole world to get together to stop the Germans and Japanese during WW2 and now most of the world is pulling together again except for the countries run by dictators or supreme leaders.
This is my opinion on how I see things and hopefully the Russian people will wake up to Putin as they have suffered a lot from dictators in there time and if China is smart they won't get involved as they sell all their products to the rest of the world, what would happen if the world stop buying Chinese made products.

My daughter has been trying to give her spare room to a Ukrainian refugee since the scheme was announced over here
Let's just say it's not easy to get the visa,the council inspection,fire brigade inspection etc etc
Refugees in the Ukraine are having to get professional help to fill in the visa application
 
All the dead and wounded in Iraq and Afghan and Syria and Libya etc have been neatly forgotten along with the virus ripoff of the last two years as we all are told to focus on the latest Convenient Horror.
Those caught in the middle, are, as usual, right and truly f_cked whilst the 24/7 virtue signalling of the governments and media continues right on cue.
Your help is kind but ineffective. You assistance is needed: applying political pressure and where you spend your money.
Meanwhile, with China, it is business as usual....they are more careful where they leave the dead.

What you do inside your own borders is ok, just as long as you don't cross your borders (except for maybe Africa, anything there seems to be ok). Disagree on the help being ineffective. World Central Kitchen is doing yeoman's work (and there are probably others as well)
