Do I need a new tube?

Rear tires go so fast, like 4 to 1. Do folks out there get new tubes each time or not? I would imagine new protective strips but with tubes that would be four new ones for the one new one up front.

I dont but some folks do. I replace them after a few tires just so they don't get too old. But I've never heard of a tube getting worn out!

You don't want a tube to get too old. Remember that's all that's holding the air between you and the road.

Yes, I recommend a new tube with every 2nd rear tyre. Had a big weekend. Came in on Monday to clean the bike and the rear was flat. Went to pump it up and the fill neck just about fell off. Glad it happened there and not out the other side of the Black Stump.
