I just recently bought a set of digital speedo and tach from Tom Kullen and have installed them over this weekend.
They look great and the tach works but not the speedo.
They both do the needle sweep, they both light up.
The tach was already calibrated but the speedo won't run.
I was able to enter the calculations into the speedo but when started the needle won't budge.
I either have a bad sensor or maybe my calculations were wrong.
I'll call Tom later today to see what he has to say but thought maybe Jerry could offer some help as he is the one who inspired me to buy this nice upgrade.
I did the setup using the calcs of 81" tire rotation divided by 63360 to get 782.22. Then the number of times the speedo drive turns in relation the the rear wheel and that was 7.5 divided by 6= 1.25.
mulitplied by 782.22 gave me 977.775. I entered that into the speedo.
It won't budge the needle.
Jerry, what were your figures when you did yours.
Maybe I have a bad sensor.
Any thoughts from anyone would be great.
Thanks, Guido
