Difference between black caps and STD peashooters

Is the only difference between the two the black cap? Is the baffling the same?

I've a set that came w/my '74 that I'd like to put on my '72. They have no blackcap. The baffle has a 3/4"? Hole and that's all. They were on the '74 which also had the h pipe. Thanks, Rick

"Peashooters" are entirely different in both shape and internal construction to "black cap" or "bean can" silencers/mufflers.

Although some "black caps have been produced which have "straight-through" baffling with a hole in the end cap.

I believe the header pipes have a slightly different bend on the end .

They have no blackcap. The baffle has a 3/4"? Hole and that's all.

They are the straight through black cap (if you want to paint the cap black that is), just as good as a pea shooter but tuck in better.
