Diaphragm shutter on inlet

The very first TZ700 might have been built with TZ350 barrels. I've seen a few early TZ700s - all had reed blocks. I suggest a TZ700 built using TZ350 barrels would be too nasty. I've heard of it being done as a trial, however the bike did not stay in that configuration for long.

I had a TZ350 and there were NO water-cooled TZ350 barrels with reed blocks available anywhere because I tried to get some at the time- all the TZ700s that I saw did NOT have reed valves/blocks :!:
I suggest you have been looking at the TZ750s which had 325 cc blocks which would have put me in the 500 class.

Once again I repeat my statement the TZ700 barrels will fit a TZ350, because when Yamaha built the 700s they built it PDQ to get into the Formula 750, they did not have to make the barrels if that makes any sense :!: :!:
The tz750 with reed blocks came later.
