Dear Oh Dear !!

They have a clothing range, but only available where ???

Get them marketed and available on line FFS…!
Only available in their shops or as they like to call them 'ateliers' but not at dealers as I understand

Well… they’re not gonna freakin’ sell any then are they ?!?

Honestly, it looks more to me that this is someone’s ‘hobby horse’… perhaps someone who came from the boutique luxury goods sector… mentioning no names…

Yep they obviously have a merchandise plan, but difficult to see what it is at this stage. I can’t think of any reason to delay other than maybe they are waiting until they have more models out, or to establish the full dealer network to push out merch to. Who knows!

The two 'salesmen' do not ride bikes!!!!!!!

I was in their outlet store in th Bike Shed London. They have clothing merchandise. The salesman said that one of their jackets was suitable for riding in town. It was lightweight with no protection/armour etc. It was just a Saville Row designed very expensive jacket. I do like quality products and I am quite prepared to pay, but I would go as far as to say the clothing was grossly overpriced.
I never seen that they offer clothing. But I also haven’t been on their site in awhile.

But there is this place called the internet where practically everything can be sold all over the world.

Weird. Just got this via email.
It’s the Bike Shed Moto Show this weekend and, as promised, we’re going to be showing something rather special on the stand. As well the Commando, there will be two new production bikes on display that have never been shown in public before. If you’d like to get a flavour of what to expect, you can watch a little preview here.

It’s not just new bikes on display of course; there will also be our new clothing collection and even some beautiful custom-painted Commando bodywork to show off the custom potential of the platform.

There are still a limited number of tickets available for the VIP event on Friday, plus plenty of general admission tickets for Saturday and Sunday. For more info, or to book, click here.

Guess we just had to wait for their plan to pan out. Clothing range released at the same time as they expand their model range (V4 models). I’m the guessing that many people that admire the bikes might not be able to afford them, so may a grab a T-shirt instead.

Getting back to the point of this thread, I cant help but notice y’all unwilling to come forward re what a reasonable price is for the 961. Bit surprising on a 961 forum !

Anyways, I have thought more about it and my personal conclusion is that they’re not over priced. Given the low volume, exclusivity, quality components, etc. and IF TVS really have sorted out the issues they had previously… then I believe the price is not prohibitive for what it is.

I know some folks compare them to the Enfield, BSA, etc. But that’s like comparing a Rolex to a Timex… in which case you're simply in the wrong shop sir !

Indubitably!

The Rolex /Timex is a good comparison.
You are purchasing status not performance.

Now to the really interesting stuff - legacy machines delivered; tick! So what next - whatever it is, it will go a very long way towards the level of their future success. These next models may well be the most important that they ever build (less the first EV model maybe).

Too early to have fully developed EV methinks, so my money is on a more affordable brace (or hat-trick) of more affordably priced machines - same bike, different models. So what are they gonna’ build?

If it took TVS 2-3 years to tell us what they did to fix/improve the 961, I wouldn't venture a guess as to when they will release any info on the NEW ICE models they may have under development.
But they could have an EV model tomorrow.

Just contract with Zero Motorcycles to re-badge the SR/S, or SR/F models with Norton badges, VIOLA, the new Norton EV.
All electrics will have the same basic motor, batteries, and supplier based components like brakes, suspension, wheels, Bosch electronic control electronics, etc.
So really, what value is added to have a Norton designed EV?

Don’t see it unfolding quite like that BT, but you never know.

I suspect that Norton will develop their own EVs - they’ve talked about it enough and have received a very large grant from the British government to do so. A Norton EV would be an obvious advancement to their core business, as that is the direction all manufacturers are heading by necessity (if not by choice).

They had a few issues to address in that 3 year period you mention - let’s hope now they are up and running that new models will be more forthcoming!

Well, next month, the TVS financial report will be out so we can see what they have spent, etc, and get an overview of where it's going.
I'm sure it will be full of eyewatering profit from those rich customers at Salon Prive and sales from the Alteliers.
