I'd got the rod steady idea from car suspension and sketched it out years ago but was too tight to spend the £20 to buy the rod link. When Steve S sent out one of his great news flashes showing a link fitted to some guys rear iso I think it could have been Bob P's and as Bob, or who ever, hadn't experienced any vibes I didn't mind blowing the £20. I made up the very first to go onto a Commando that weekend and ran it for that Summer. Once I was satisfied the steady worked I e mailed pics to many on the list. It looked a little like Mike T's cept I made up an alloy "conrod" as the frame bracket. The next step was to make the steady up as I'd drawn it years ago. The rest is history.
Oh! by the way I gave the idea to RGM, I suppose I'm just another Norton nut.
Cheers,
Dave
