Data plate drive screws question

Can anyone confirm the color of the original data plate drive screws or rivits? The ones available from several sources are gold or brass colored. The ones that came off my bike looked silver but they could have been worn. I sure would like to attach my new data plate!

Just attach it. It'll take on a patina sooner or later.
 
Took mine out recently. Nails were steel and a bother to remove.
The sin of dull drill bits no doubt. But definately steel not
brass. Built in 1974.
