I have a very old Corbin gunfighter seat that I love dearly. I need to have it reupholstered and want to have the sides trimmed down just a little. I'm wondering if anyone has had experience in this. I'm curious as to how much to take off the sides because I do not want to overdo it. I have heard that Corbin will do it themselves but I'm afraid to send it back there thinking it will end up in a black hole and take months to get back. Has anyone had experience with this?

I rode there and had my seat redone while I waited, they were very prompt, I know that's not the question you asked. Did you call them if so did they give you a time frame.

I sent a seat back to Corbin for a mod. and recover. They quoted me a two week turn around. I had it back exactly two weeks after I sent it in. Pretty darn speedy when you factor in shipping

I had a Corbin seat reshaped and reupholstered at a local auto upholstery shop. Working with a local shop, you can get the foam reshaped and try it out before they recover it. For someone in the trade, it is easy to remove or add foam, but this is not something I would want to take on myself.
