Looks pretty trick, and gives me ideas for the various alternative carbs people use on Commandos.
Imagine instead of 45 or 90 degree cable elbows a small diameter roller/pulley to fit between carb and frame tube.

EDIT: The benefit, depending on how you built it may be more accurate and longer lasting carburetor synchronization.

I guess I'm missing something. Though as a small Rube Goldberg machine it has some appeal, I don't see any benefit - looks like a complicated way to do a simple job. :)

I had a BSA triple with something like that. One cable at the throttle grip. It worked good for three carbs.

This is what Peel may get for non-boosted configuration.

Cool Amal mod..

Haven't figured that one out yet, other than saving it to my photobucket account.
Besides Norton's don't need full IT support, yet!

+1
Are there teflon bushing in all those pivot points? Bet there's lots of vibrations there. I wonder if they require stronger return springs. Something tells me if Norton Villiers had that system all along and someone introduced a simple 1 into 2 cable splitter it would look pretty appealing.

As fragile as Amal bodies are, and how easy they warp, that looks like it would contribute to that 10 fold over the stock arrangement. Assuming those carbs would line up perfectly, than hanging that weight off the front and sinching that down. And of course no choke left.

I have zero problems with my cable junction. It idles perfectly, I can use my choke when it's cold, it's simple.

But that guy did do a nice job no doubt.

Seems like a very complex was of avoiding twin cables and a new twistgrip...
