Continental 535 starter solenoid

My wife's 2015 535 electric starter won't function if battery is not 12+ volts.. Is there a fix, I know I can kick start. They tell me it is a safety for the sprags, but by now there should be a fix. The solenoid is an electronic device not what we are used to seeing. Any ideas would be appreciated. Has anybody tried heavier leads from battery to starter?

Answering my own post; Checked starter button switch it was working properly. Finally replaced starter solenoid $43.00 starts first push of button.
