Will, Your project looks great. Ludwig has built a lovely Commando-engined G15, although his engine is more or less upright - you will find it in the 'other classic motorcycles' section under 'Commando engine into a p11 rolling chassis' (currently on page 5), he has done an inovative job of shortening the primary case to accomodate a Commando clutch, alternator and primary drive in the shorter cradle of the g15 frame, I am hoping to do something similar and have a g15 gearbox outer case which I think will make the mounting easier because the lower mount is angled further forward. You are best advised to alter the crankshaft balance factor if you are mounting a Commando engine without isolastics. Good luck with it.

Dave,

thanks for the advice. I have thought long and hard about this subject. All that is holding me back right now is money. A high balance factor and lightweight internals will be the minimum and 80degree crank,( search previous thread on the topic), with said internals on the maximum. With the engine straight up there is a fair amount of room to squeeze in. I want mine slanted and that requires more drastic actions. Be sure to put pictures up when you make progress.

Here what they were made for that appeals to me so much. Few minutes of fish tailing accidentally and on purpose with lots of grit in the air.
