A new Commando Owners Group is being formed in South East Queensland, encompassing mainly Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
The organiser is Wayne Bryant from the MECGC (Motorcycle Enthusiasts Club Gold Coast) (I am not involved in the formation, but will be attending as an interested party like anyone else, and also worth mentioning is that it is separate to the MECGC as well). Wayne is 70, and a mad keen Commando rider, with a new to him Mk 3 to join his Mk 2. As he is not overly computer literate, I am posting this for him.
If you google MECGC, and go to the website, you will find Wayne's contact details there (if required).
This inaugural meeting (and subsequent meetings) is being held at the MECGC club rooms at 238 Mudgeeraba Rd, Mudgeeraba 4213.
Date and time for this first outing is Sunday 20/03/2016 at 2 pm. This first meeting is intended to be mainly focussed on meeting interested people and providing information.
There will be a short ride afterward for those who have ridden their Commandos to the meeting.
Future meetings will be more in the form of organised rides, etc.
At this stage (and if possible/likely also into the future) it is not envisaged that there will be any strict "Official Club" or fees, but rather just a social group.
So please feel free to come along if you are a Commando owner, and for this first meeting coming on the bike is not at all critical.
I should mention it is not a Norton in general group, but a specific Norton Commando group.
