Ok you asked for it now see if ya can pull your self away from this 3 part gear head full scope vintage wonder craft documentary... more in context of Norton manufacture than those other ring ding things. I diving back in right now, chow.

Put the 750 through scutineering at a race circuit , or any other of your vehicals , James , I will start to listen . Thanks .

Dont get started on Jay Leno`s Alladins Cave..no fair;
& Matt, I`ve been around the Phillip Is G.P. circuit on my 750, when was the last time you did any speed work?[Bike riding].

Pensioners meeting , was it. Evadeing the point. How unusual . Last bike I had was a suzuki , I prefer Motorcycles . Not ' consumer goods ' .

Trundled the Val round Catalina park . But that wasnt ' race ' or ' scrutineering ' .

HOW ABOUT some PICTURES ! , get the polishig rag out ! . :D

wrong hobot these were 4 stroke engines.

Ok now ya done gone over board, I like that so here's a 2 stroke to confuse us all.

The teaser 1375 hp land lubber application

Thats the spirit Bill, I laughed too, its similar to the Garner hype..
Matt, I`ve never owned a Suzuki, but I did enjoy taking an RG 500 [roadbike] for a fang `round Pukekohe a few years back, so you are just on the pushy now is it?

Yeah, Concours, them's the little suckers, [U.S. catalylic/emissions spec pipes cut some zing tho`].

But theres no room for the dogs & a few hay bails , on them . The ultimate book of fast motorcycles actually incudes them , but puts them at 110 mph .

Ring ding a lingers would get upset when you choked when they said theyd done " 115 mph on my RD 350 " ( the original horrible red ones . ) The SPEEDO said 115 at ther 90 odd maximum , a few mags addmitted .

Jeeze Matt , you going by a kids book reference now, eh, next you`ll be doing a 'bull' & quoting WIKI to be as EXPERT as him...L.O.L.
`Course that Kenny Roberts signature makes `em go + 1000revs in top..

The two Kwaker 500s sitting in the store at B.B. were there as the Bank Manadger thought his was useless , particularly in winter , as ' TRANSPORT '.
In the bays the roads were up & down & twisty . Something that wouldnt go up a hill unless you played with the gear lever and took off if you gave it any throttle or lifted the front wheel at a certain r.p.m. was a waste of time for non ' boy racers ' . The shop didnt get rid of Kawas too easily , though the newish
one was mint and sold in a few weeks at cost , after he traded it in .

The Uncle who was the D.R. , I think blew one vof them off , but he did his own machineing and mechanicing on his Nortons , and knew how to ride
AND set it up . Manual Advace though the gate , would light up in first and hit second smokeing . He was chuffed when he called in , particularly as
a bend was next ( followed by others ) and no sign was seen of it after . Not every rider was a full on lunatic or teenager .

Even the teenager who had one thought the shop he traded it to for a scratched Combat were suckers . But then the guy with the green blob one was
the scoolmaster . Therfore he was trained to maintain it . AND he rode it like he rode the mach III , Aviateing / mono - ing . But then , im imagineing it ? .

Another kiddies bedtime story, Matt? ...Or is it all a dream [or flashback]?..
The only hassle riding my H1s to work in winter was polishing all the bloody chrome again in the weekend..

Youd told me 115 was as fast as you could get it , on the KauKop road .If both lanes were available , . . to accomodate the weave .

Was a older ( 40 is OLD when your 20 ) guy on a 500 in 80 , with saddlebags , rack and windshield comuting on mach 3 .
Possibly waited till on the M way ,
to open it up though .

Incedently , we left the raceing RDs and the like to Smiths Saint .Which would have them from the get go . Even , or particularly when the Saint was two up .
Our Fried Dougs 500 would snot Smiths Saint though . He had dificulty admitting that too . If youre into raceing RDs .

Haveing seen the M-Xer do a hard right , and through a shop window , caution was advised with those .

Quitely pottering up Kyber Pass once , coming toward the lights , a Hondaboy trailbiker looking over his shoulder rode right up onto a V.W. Bettle , Stopped and as it rolled of backward as the car got underway , Manadged to stay upright . Very well done , I thought , and taken in good stead by the VW . Ignored .

My Diesel Mechanic aquaintance , The Avid Jap Thrasher Ran a Bonnie . 73 650 5 speed . Raced his Excess 11 agaisnt the GSXes ,his only brit bik the Bonnie he said handled better than , & would snot most things useing 8500 revs . Broke three sets of cam followers doing it , but wasnt one to be beaten .

So XS even with the Commando was considered fair .

Have you spent more on motorcycles than beer ? . :D

Matt
next thing will be an RD 350 out runs modern 600's and the K wobble Saki H2 will out run a modern liter bike, after it does have a magic wonder motor. Yamaha named it right with RD for ring ding and kwakasaki with H for horrable

LOL, what year, exactly, was it when the RD350 won the Daytona 200.... spanking a field of Britbikes more than double the displacement... 1972? My friend's Dad used to refer to his three cylinder, highly modified Poolaris 650 Indy snowmobile as a "Whiz Bang" because they'd do the Cheynobyl imitation repeatedly

Hey, dont be mean, `72 was the J.P.N. F750's best Daytona result, so what if THREE Yam 350s kept it off the podium... Say didn`t Saarinen dick all the 750s at the Imola 200 on a Yam 350 too?
