Commando Choppers please

Just thought youdall like to visualise it with a Commando motor in it .  Besides , was on the like above it . DUNNO WHERE THE nORTON WENT . :?

YIKES! that double trouble fork even offends me, a real righteous chopper has molded frame like the Honda engined one and no front brake let alone two of em, sheeze. I'm putting the 3rd wheel on rear of Peel wheelie prone chopper where Satan intended and maybe a double size front to boot.
Commando Choppers please

I think the most stupid answer to the question 'why did you do that ?' - must be 'because I can ! '. I spent my whole working life as a scientist in defence areas involved with development. My sole interest in motorcycles lies in developing my bikes to be better road racers. My biggest thrill lies in building something and having a measure of success with it. This, in my mind, is a chopper ! :

Acid is bad um'kay

Don't know if it's the same one, but a guy named Mick Fish (I think) from Wigan (NW England) built and rode a double front wheel chopper - back in the early '80's - only ever saw it once, but certainly had to do a double take

Now that must steer really nice. It would look tons better if it had 2 TLS on it.

remarkably enough, he rode it quite a lot, not just locally either. Braver man than me

A few years ago a friend of mine was driving along a road in the east of Melbourne, Australia. It was through a bit of countryside, and had a lot of trees around it. The police and ambulance were there. A person riding a chopper had been taken off into the trees by the stupid steering geometry. RIP ! These days we have laws stopping development of choppers, and noone but an idiot would ever buy one in Australia. I've looked at the photos on this thread, and I am appalled at the wasteful use of commando engines and gearboxes. Some of you guys need your brains brushed.

GET REAL ! :

Hey acotrel, how's the view from up there?
Commando Choppers please

I would be willing to bet that somewhere on the internet right this moment,.........
someone is typing something about how them cafe racers are dangerous machines and the
people that ride them should have their heads examined.

go figure.

To some, choppers must be aesthetically appealing, but they are, by any measure, mechanical and design monstrosities. Ape hanger bars, extended forks and rigid rear does not make for good handling or comfortable to ride motorcycle. As far as I'm concerned, it's an expression: Look at the stupid motorcycle I'm riding!

Cafe racers are way more dangerous in both the injuries incurred by crashes and way way more deadly by the accelerated wear of the cervical upper spinal cord and brain stem which projects to be felt as hand wrist or back symptoms but not realized till much later when organs nerves go to. Cafe racers are more for show that going far or being practical daily commuter or carry much to matter. So like peacocks big spread of tail feathers, its a flaunt to the world at strength or luck tosurvive with excess plumage... Make no mistake about a real chopper is very comfy even if not all that handy to road race with or enjoy in parking lots. The road racer Bobber above looks so cluttered to me, I'm gonna try to avoid that on Peel even with all her do dads, which can all come off for embarrassingly naked look.

Commando Choppers please

Matt Spencer found this one, a real righteous chopper with extended fork w/o an ugly brake. Come on now what's not to love about this one?

Tho , chapwon Pukekohe in the wet on his every day ride .
