Cleaning chrome with aluminum foil

There is also an aircraft supplier in the US selling met-all, bit better price and cheaper shipping.
The stuff I'm using is aluminum polish but is also reconmended for stainless.
Here is how it worked on chrome:

I didnt take a photo before polishing, however the front side looked much like the back side ( hidden when mounted) still does:

And here is the front side polished with met-all. I started in with autosol, but it was taking forever and really scratching the chrome. The met-all worked faster left a nice polish and partially restored the areas scratched by the autosol.
This is good enough for my purposes, will be doing the procedure again in 20,000 miles.

Mine came yesterday. Opened it up and whoa! I thought Simichrome had a strong odor to it. This stuff is strong.
 
I'm using it for a multitude of polishing chores. Yesterday I used it to polished an old plastic tailight lens that had gone opaque, worked great. Thefluffy wheel on the variable speed polisher along with the met-all seems to be a good combo

Yes, it does have a strong odor, must be ammonia.
