Chrome Plating

I have an aftermarket front fender that I picked up from CNW. I originally thought I would paint my fenders, but decided against it. So I picked up a stainless rear fender from Old Britts and decided I'd get my CNW front fender chrome plated. I found a local plater that came highly reccomended and handed off the fender. Eight weeks later I decided I was done waiting for this relatively simple task to get done. Does anyone have a chrome plating company that they highly reccomend, preferably on the left coast?

I had them do some triple trees and 2 other small parts and they were done in a day and a half
also emailed me at each step of the way. prep/polish, plate, finish/ship

You might check out some plating other than chrome if you want it to match the stainless fender. Nickle comes to mind. I use Queen City Plating in Mukilteo Washington. They are not cheap, but I have never been disappointed in the result.

Oregon Plating just off MLK in Portland did a lot of parts for another bike for me and I was very pleased with the results.

Update: Browns Plating did a great job nickel plating my front fender.

Yup, back in the day, it was a seasonal ritual, we'd dismantle our bikes at Christmastime, pack up our parts and send them out to Brown's, hope the little parts didn't get lost, clean the buffing compound out of the threads and passages, etc. and re-assemble our gleaming steeds. That was 35 years ago.. today it's far simpler. Modern cruiser riders can go to the local worship center, plop down the Capitol One VISA, watch as trained professionals bolt on entirely new parts while casting perfectly good primary covers, fork legs, switch gear housings, brake calipers, etc. into the worthless scrap heap. Progress! :lol: :mrgreen:


Seriuosly though, Brown's is a good choice, I used them extensively (some said OBSESSIVELY) 35 years ago.
