Christine McVie

Songbird to the skies.
I am a big fan of Fleetwood Mac in the Peter Green days, less so after Stevie Nicks joined.
Conversely my wife is a big Stevie Nicks fan and later Fleetwood Mac.
But we are both big fans of Christine McVie, fantastic singer, song writer and key board player.
Often on our music systems and on YouTube.
Songbird to the skies.

Yup , RIP Christene Mc. Great voice , creative musician …

Soon, everyone with any musical talent will be gone.

RIP Christine

YouTube hardly does justice to her voice. Re talent: I believe Eva Cassidy covered this one very well but she's gone too. There is great musical talent on many local scenes but because of the nature of the industry these days, they don't make the national/international scene. We tried to buy tickets to Joni Mitchell and Brandi Carlisle. Can't be done by mere mortals, so it's off to the pub for open-mike night.

That's probably true but the state of commercial music these days is truly awful and that's not a generational statement

I have Internet Download Manager. I download MKV files and convert them to MP3 to put on CD as a data disc for my car stereo. I will be going to Melbourne today and will play her songs while we are driving. I will search Youtube to see if there are any audiophile tracks of her music.

Always my fave female songbird. So much more tuneful than that droner Stevie Nicks. The Mac tunes Christine sang lead on always take me back to simpler times. RIP

Thanks for the incentive to put on the first Fleetwood Mac album on the stack. Rumors. Got both Stevie Nicks and Christine along with Buckingham. Unfortunately my ears are nowhere as good as when I first heard the album. And I can tell, I used to boost the bass now I boost the treble.
