Carb balancing

I bought a 'Twinmax' synchroniser. Pull the balancer pipe off the inlet stubs and connect the Twinmax in their places, and adjust the throttle cables such that the meter stays centred when the engine is revved up. Works a treat.

p.s. I did buy the Twinmax some time ago, when it was much less expensive than it now seems to be.

I've done the twitching drill bit method which worked well enough for years. I checked it with a "Harmonizer" vacuum tool which is supposed to be the successor to the Twinmax. It was very close already. Really handy tool, but I'm not sure if someone has continued production after its creator died in 2016. I think some company did try but the main sensor part became no longer available.
