I know this has been discussed before but does anyone know a code for Valspa paint. Over a silver base.
Also thoughts on stickers.
I’m looking at Andover Norton decals and lacquer over the top.
I’m not after concours but am going for a really good pro job.
Anyone have any thoughts, observations to help.
Thanks.

House of Kolors Candy Apple is a good starting point.

Alternatively from an earlier discussion this was posted.

Specialist Paints in the UK supply candies too. There's not much to choose between them and HoK

Here's one I did earlier... It's over flake rather than silver base, but the effect is the same

Just found this - more representative, perhaps?

Bit nearer to France

FYI - House of Kolor is the Valspar brand (now owned by Sherwin Williams). The DuPont shown by Kommando is now known as Axalta. Glasurit is BASF. Deltron, Ditzler, and Vibrance are PPG brands. This may help when finding a local source.

If you want the correct color go to RS Paint in the UK. They have the correct color of paint for the exact year and model of bike. I bought candy apple from them for my 76 MK-3 and received it in three days !!

Glasurit is BASF
R-M is also a BASF company. The R-M Carizzma line is their specialty paints like candies and pearls. Very high quality stuff. Not sure if they're available in Europe though. I painted my Norton with their candy red over silver base.

Worked as a chemist for Inmont starting in 1975 (original owner of Rinshed-Mason (R-M)} purchased by
BASF in the eighties. R-M was one of three OEM suppliers to the big three automakers. BASF split our division off and sold it to PPG in the late 90's but kept the R-M group (for its ties to the US auto makers). The Glasurit brand has been part of BASF since the late 1800's and is most popular with European auto makers.

So much for the history lesson. Both R-M and Glasurit are good quality refinish paints.

Ive looked at DNA from Aussie for my old Goldwing their candy apple looked pretty good , but I think you need to buy an aeroshape and put it in the sunlight
