I did find them but when it lists the brands they service a bunch of names come up that have nothing to do with speedometers or anything remotely related to them so I was suspiciousSearch on the web for smiths werk ( yes, werk). They rebuilt a couple for me to my satisfaction.
I have just revisited their site and now the brands listed make sense .This guy's dad and uncle are a big part of the Matchless owners club of North America. I have met him personally. They all seem to be good people.Home | SMITHSWERK
Vintage motorcycle speedometer repair. Servicing popular brands by Stewart Warner, Smiths, Corbin, Veglia, and many others.www.smithswerk.com
I've had MANY done by them all with perfect results. They will quit making cables in late in 2025 but are still restoring instruments. Their cables are the best you will find - stock up while you still can!British vintage & cable in Canada , they do real nice work![]()
As far as I go I will not recommend Smithswerks, , https://www.smithswerk.com/ Andrew ghosted me for almost a year about a tach he was to repair for my Rotary . I ran into him at a swap meet last week and asked what gives. After talking to him in person I still have a little hope, your results might vary. But no updates or email/phone responses for months was/is unacceptable. (To be fair the electronic Motometer tach is a hard one to tackle).I have just revisited their site and now the brands listed make sense .
Very strange …

I received a 74 Norton Commando rebuilt speedo from them last week, aprivatepeace503 the ebay seller. Casually it seemed ok, until I compared the face with an original. The numerals, and lines are not as crisp, the green globe is incorrect, the bezel is poorly crimped, The needle center was obviously corroded and redone . The speedo with 2010 miles is the one rebuilt by them. Most of these items are not very noticeable , but I'm just saying.....https://www.ebay.com/itm/316381622079 RT, my buddy used this guy and was very satisfied with the service. The gauges were from a 68 Bonneville. He said they came back and looked and worked beautifully. I don't have his # but contact him through Ebay.
