I've thought about doing it myself, but I don't have the room or the tools. I want to get my fork legs polished to match the amazing work on my new rims. It's all I need to finish my front end.

Anyone know any decent place that wouldn't rip me off?

Go to your closest chrome guy...they polish everything before plating. Most will gladly just polish aluminum.

I use Cantwell's in San Bruno but you must have someone closer. A lot of bike work gets done down your way.

A lot of places that cater to semi trucks do a ton of truck detailing and polishing work. I'm sure they'd rather polish a 2 pound fork slider than a 200 pound alloy truck rim.

I'll have to call around tomorrow. No one available in my town or the local phonebook. Nearest harley shop is bout 35 min away, Nearest city about an hour.

I bet you have a Harley shop, they would probably know a place.

Come on now.......they only sell chrome there. I doub't they'd know what polished alloy is.

Brown's in Kentucky.

Very close to you, very good. I sent them a MK III outer primary cover that had scratches, pits and major oxidation; it came back looking like new. Not inexpensive...
