Lab has it spot on.

06.3021 was drawn Sept '71 and has a hole it, by July '74 (3 amendments later the hole was removed, but it does not say which amendment removed the hole, due to the Norton love of tipex.

06.5425 was drawn Aug '73 and has always had the hole from the original drawing date.

It seems that by 1973, they forgot they had actually produced a bush with a hole in it and raised another drawing. The supersession and amendment list from NT has 06.3201 superseeded by 06.5425 - lets not confuse the picture anymore!!

Who is confused?
Nortons drawing had the hole? maybe so!
As I/we all know the bushes did not have the hole. I don't need a "picture" to clear things up, MKIII 325367 right beside me on my desk has no hole in DS bush... (06-5425)

The only remaining documentation question is why the IPL 065988 74 parts book shows 065428 and 065425.
YET
My 2(74) 316xxx do not appear to match the 74 book , but seem they do have the same parts as 73 750/850 IPL 065034: bushes 063020 and 063021
In reality it is no longer important. The requirements for all the bushes is now known.
AFAIK 4 bush items will properly cover all NHT 1949-1975 (and late release 75) assuming you scroll the cams if scrolls are missing.

Dave, correct it will not match the MK3 parts book and this may explain why, Thought I would just check another angle, the build drg for the DS MK3 crankcase dated 11/73, you would not need to guess what bush it says to fit, it is the 063021 bush. Strangely, on the same drg the comment on it seems to have been missed by all at Wolverhampton, ''Hole in bush is to align with drilled hole in crankcase''

But then, how could they have missed what they were apparently already doing as the earlier (Mk1 & 2) 850s seem to have had the centre feed D/S bush?

And then, I went to check some stock that is yet still to be sorted, I wonder just how old these are - I would expect ex-Wolverhampton, hole or no hole?
