what does the shop manual specify? the only way to check for cam end float is with the cam chain removed, but that has no bearing on it since with the cam chain installed and tightened, the cam cannot float ... unless the chain is worn out

There it is in crankcases engine, the chain rose, it is very recent.

I have to be 1 millimeter of side game, I think that the engineer who went back up my engine (5000 miles) made a mistake somewhere.
I go unsettled all this and to check everything.
Nothing in my shop manuel

Thanks for your answer.

How much endfloat do you actually have ? The endfloat should be checked with the camchain removed.
You should aim for 0.20 to 0.25mm endfloat.
