So...you are planning to sell this cam? When do you think it will be available? It will be the same price -after the master lobe and grinder masters are purchased.
I will need to complete dyno testing and if that goes well I have a couple options for masters.
Of course the prototype cam that I am beating on was a chunk of change.
Would cryogenic treatment, as often mentioned by our own Mr Hobot, have any impact on cam, or cam follower, longevity ?
Have been wondering if the surface finish of the followers might be improved by judicious and careful use of oilstone

A couple of version Jim?
Like a 312a versions... and then an 86c/12c version by any chance...??
We should be blessed to have at one option. Asking for more options is a little greedy.
I hope Jim gets a cut of the action for each cam sold.

?!
Jim said he’s going to do a couple of versions.
I’m simply asking what they might be.
I was eager to send more of my $ his way.
Not sure where the greed comes into that...
Jim,
Reviewing some of your videos.
Is it just me or is there a higher likelihood of cam lobe wear on the T/S exhaust lobe next to the tach gear. I know my core that I sent you was just starting to fail by feel with my fingernail test. What is your experience from all the cores that you get to send for re-weld.
Do you see a pattern.
Thinking out loud.
Cheers
Thomas
Reading an article today about how it's necessary to twist the spaghetti noodles, in order to get a clean break and prevent shattering. And naturally my mind went to the Norton cam and its flexing propensity, and whether the attempts to control that flexing might possibly be counter-productive. Is it possible that the cam flexing is actually "absorbing" some of the hammering transmitted to the followers?
I suppose it could but given the choice I would get rid of both -flexing and hammering.
