cam and crankshaft torque

The book calls for 60 - 80 ft/lbs for the drive side crank nut and fails to give a good figure for the timing side crank and cam nuts. I usually give them 30 ft/lbs with a bit of locktite. Always seems to work. Even the drive side crank nut. Any good reason to use the much higher figure? I know the problem with the gearbox mainshaft nut torque.
 
It looks like most of the cams are chilled cast iron. It would be nice if the Norton manual gave the torque figure...couldn't find it in 3 books.
How about the crank timing side nut.
