Cracked socket heads are nothing new. Over torque will do this which is why companies like BMW use Torx

Torx are used because they lend themselves to high speed assembly line work.
SHCS will accept more than enough torque to tear the threads out of steel.

The bolt pictured above is Chinese garbage.

A caliper bolt should have a plain shank or shoulder and not be threaded all the way like that.

Thats a generic fastener, it’s not a caliper bolt.

Change them for something better.
