Some time last year while ridding with a friend towards a nice local canyon with me on the 850 & he on a 1000 Ducati he just took off like crazy on a city road we typicaly ride pretty fast. This time he hit well over 100 mph & tried my best to catch up. I was confused when he took a sharp left into a residential area & snaked in & out a few streets before stopping at dead end, "why are we in here I asked" when he said " didn't you see the Cop light us up & come after us?? ".... I had just out run a cop at close to 100mph and succesfully hid in a quiet neighborhood all without even knowing it. I'm sure the cop went to the canyon road thinking we went that way. I would never have done that on purpose, I never would think my bike quick enough to get away with it. Besides, Around here they shoot first, ticket later.

And I thought my Maryland ticket for expired registration on my car was high at 290 dollars plus 25 bucks for processing . Cj

I have been riding in Southern California for 15 years. So far only 1 speeding ticket...

Well in PH the cops take your dough. Here, the suits take your dough.
No inspection (or expired) gimme 75 bucks and one point on the license.
Speeding tickets? 3 points and a hundred bucks x2 for the "surcharge".
Oh honestly, corruption a problem? ANYBODY can have the standard
"tell you what, you plead to a bald tire for 90 bucks and no points".
The average guy is overjoyed.
...so the shakedown game continues.

I did notice you pay 2k 'cause yer drunk and 12k for hauling ass
away from the pirates. Go figure.

Ah well I'm pretty much a speed limit guy so I dont have to deal with them.
