I will buy a new roadster tank made by Emgo in Taiwan since they have been given good judgements.
Any recommendations of a good Company to order from?
I want to order within EU since i live in Sweden, probably from England.

Thank you L.A.B!
A good suggestion, i Think they are good.
I will make an enquire to them and ask where they are made.
I once made the big mistake of ordering an Indian made tank, it was an awful piece of shit.
Bad shape, assymetrical and rusty.
Fortunally they took it back after some arguing but i lost some money on P&P

I think Labs point is that the AN tanks ARE the Emgo ones Sten...

Thank you for your replies!
Very useful, appreciate that.
I do want to believe that AN sells good tanks(EMGO)becacause of their good reputation.

I really like this forum alot because of all the knowledgeable people here and interesting topics.
But it has also given me alot of ideas and extra job because of that!

Regards Sten

I think the Thailand tanks sold in the UK are under the Wassel brand name not Emgo. I have one and they are very good tanks I don't think you will be disappointed.
Best

Why OH WHY, is nobody making a steel Interstate tank. The alloy specials are prohibitively expensive, the stuff from India is, to say the least 'suspect', and used ones are as rare as hens teeth (and much more expensive).

(Answers in a plain brown envelope, 250 words or less. The judges decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.)

No mystery or magic it seems...

Just place an order of, say, 500 tanks and problem solved!

Allegedly that's what got the roadster tanks in production

Problem seems to be an uncertainty over the size of the interstate tank market.

There have been several good reports on pummy8081 on BSA tanks and no bad ones. Never seen any reports on his Norton tanks but he does do them

There was also an Indian seller on here 2 or 3 years ago who had made tooling to make the basic Interstate pressing rather than welding various pieces together, a bit of searching on the forum should track his details down, just be aware there have also been a few ropey ones posting here too.

Deep pockets and big kahunas required

500 tanks plus new tooling not much change from 50K

For the Interstate I would have thought a bigger run than 500 would be needed to spread the cost of the dies but as the final price will be higher just based on the size maybe it can be spread over 500.

I have received and checked the new tanks from B+Bogus(Andy) yesterday for fitment (my friend ordered one as well at the same time)
I am very pleased with it, finally getting a decent one.

My friend thought that too.

I purchased the same tank recently from Walridge in Ontario. It was good quality and shape. I highly recommend fitting the filler cap first before any painting. I had to bend the catch lip up a bit to get the cap to latch properly. I highly recommend these petrol tanks.
