Brand New 961 Sport, Kent UK

I am very excited to report that I took delivery of my bike this morning (thanks for excellent service Krazy Horse). Have a few queries you experienced riders might be able to help me out with. (1) anything in particular I need to watch out for? (2) what is the best device to keep the battery nice and fresh? (3) does anyone make some 3M film to protect the tank?

I have to say I was worried about tales of mechanical noises but have to report that my bike with 8 miles on it is relatively nice and quiet. Mind you, I am coming off a Ducati Panigale which sounds like a mechanical disaster waiting to happen, even though it is water cooled.

And very finally - is there anyone 961 mounted (or similar) in Kent or Sussex who might enjoy the odd ride out?

Get a battery tender or similar , and find the battery charging plug behind the L/H top shock bolt. Keep it plugged in when leaving it for more than a day or two. Keep the air box regularly drained , oil can collect in there, I can't help with the 3M film.

regarding film covering for tanks - Alan

I got a self adhering clear plastic tank protector at the dealership. Cheap and effective!
