I have a (Mick Hemmings supplied) norvil disc on my Commando. The disc is dished all over by between 0.006" and 0.010" at its circumference and I am getting "brake grab" when braking. I haven't checked the hub run out yet but thought that getting the disc sorted would be a starting point.
Does anybody know where I could get it skimmed flat in the UK? I've contacted Maidstone motorliner and they can't do it whilst it is in a built wheel.

I doubt if anyone will touch whilst it is built up. Chances are you are going to need to loose a lot of material to get it flat.

Make sure the hub is true first. My disc worked fine with no pulsing in use but it had an annoying
wobble in one spot that made the pads click every revolution. In town it was amazingly loud...
and embarrassing.

I'm just updating the thread as I got my disc back from Seager Engineering last week.
I checked it with an engineers straight edge and it is virtually perfect. I'm very pleased with their service and would recommend them to anybody here in the UK as not only do they "know their stuff," but are nice to deal with.. The brake is now much nicer to use with better feel and without the slightest hint of grabbing unlike before, but as you would expect when all is correct. They did say how much had been removed but I can't remember, but there is still approximately 2mm of compression on the Bellville washer to keep the disc against the retaining washers.

Thanks for the recommendation Les.
