BML Fairing

I am cleaning up a 1965 Norton Atlas to sell soon for my mother. It has a long BML fairing that extends pretty far back on the bike and i have never seen another one before.Were they a dealer installed option and are they very common? Thanks. Jay.
 
Its similar to the avonaire one it appears but its not split near the seat area, its all enclosed. I will try to post a picture when i get home.It definitely says BML on the front under the headlight shroud.

Hi. I finally have the bike ready to sell for my mother. Its a '65 Atlas. I helped my dad put it away when I was 11 and I am 42 now. I cleaned the tank, Amal carbs, magneto and dry sump tank and lines. It started on the 2nd kick! I think the BML fairing may be the Interpol model? Did they make a police model Atlas? The fairing has been with the bike as far back as I can remember. My real question is what the approximate value of the bike is. Thank you very much. Jay.

Yes the Norton did make a police Atlas, some came with Avon fairing and a cut-out in the top of the tank for the radio, two tone horns, e.t.c. The specification was to order according to which county police force is made the order. Kent country police, amongst others had them.
 
I have a BML fairing at the back of my shed. Came with a 1961 AJS 650 about 25 years ago. Similar to the full avon fairing but much lighter. Has a plate which gives what the initials are for . Could be British. Mouldings Ltd ? But I am not sure and possibly London based. Unfortunately I can't get to it for about 5 weeks.
 
128 Sandringham in London and BML is on a little metal plaque on the headlight shell.Thats the only markings i can find on the fairing.
