Does anyone know a trick for installing the rubber beading on the 850 tail fairing? Both the tail fairing and the beading came from Andover.
The fiberglass seems to be too thick on the edge that the beading goes on. I'm afraid to try and thin it on the edge - I'll probably crack the fiberglass.
Is there any other beading that I can use.

Try heating the beading with hairdryer or hot water to make it more flexible?

Could a length of small diameter black rubber hose be used as an alternative, slit lengthwise?

You should write to: technical@andover-norton.co.uk and describe the problem. Unless they've changed the beading, it should slip on snuggly. It's possible that you were sent the wrong one. Pictures would help them.

I have seen some pretty fuggly fiberglass taillight housings over the years. Maybe you ended up one made on a Friday afternoon and it was layed up extra thick.
