Hi Lance , A great deat of this single seat model will be hard to find . What about my front fender etc.. TVS I doubt will support these older models , hope I am wrong .

I've also seen the cheap $100 Chinese fairings advertised with a picture of the genuine thruxton fairing mounted, just as this ad shows a Thruxton 900 tail cowl but a picture of a 961. I even mailed a few of the vendors to inform them of their error with no response of course. Buyer beware.

Wasn't there a chap on the forum who made knock-off tail sections and fenders from carbon fiber?
The guy that was warned by the factory that his stuff infringed on their products.
With the single seat unavailable from the new factory, he should be able to produce some knock-offs now.

You’d have thought so BT, albeit it’s pretty low volume stuff as we know. I’ve been looking for a black single seat unit for a loooooooooong time. Not a rocking horse in sight…….!

Low margin, very low volume, and the risk of big company strong arming.

Ive reached out to them but no answer yet.

Customer got rear-ended so it smashed the rear and pulled all the mounting screws so the piece is unusable but the bike somehow didn't get damaged.

Wow , They are really lucky the frame is Ok , Is the license plate holder , turn signals all smashed too ?

Yes but I have a plate holder if needed. Ive been converting them to a low profile and getting rid of large plate mount

Not sure whether this is who you’re referring to BT, but ‘Sdonders‘ made his own super cool carbon tail unit and side panels - unsure about knock-off as a description though

I would have purchased a tail unit in a heartbeat but from memory, he avoided any question of manufacturing them for sale - may be wrong though, I have the memory of a goldfish - with late stage alzheimers! What were we talking about again………………….?

That tail looks terribly long. Looks out of proportion.

Optical Illusion I think V2D3 - angle of the camera dangle! He modelled it from his dual seat unit but included an integrated strip rear light. So, no scallop holding the original rear light unit which may add to elongation - or the appearance of it. There are better pictures - I’ll try and find them.

May contact him again to see whether he ever finished the entire airbox - may get some more pics. Quality looks exceptional.

Just found this pic - he’s included the rear tail light seamlessly to the carbon tail unit! How has he done that? Looks super cool to me.
