I was on a 7am coffee run a mile from my house. A car backed into the street on a ''s'' curve. I slowed, they stopped, I throttled up, and they started backing again. Too much front brake and I tucked the front wheel under. I slid maybe 30 feet.

Rash on the primary cover and left pipe. Busted the muffler mounts on the left. Bent shift lever and broken clutch lever. Broken mirror and cracked glass on the tach. The side stand has some nice grinds, and there is a ding in the front fender.

I also have some road rash and a sprained left wrist.. It sure could of have been a lot worse. Wear your helmets, jackets, and gloves please. Things go bad in the blink of an eye.

Any recommendations on a new clutch lever? Did someone post about a 'New" Triumph clutch lever on their bike?

Not good news but thats what can happen at anytime, most riders think because its a short ride they be right with minim protection, I cring when I see young riders around here riding their big bikes with only shorts, t shirts sometimes singlet and thongs (flip flops to some) on their feet, the Harley guys seem to be the worst ones for it, but even with proper protection you can still get hurt.
Lession learned and hope you get it all fixed quickly, good luck.

Look on the bright side. A fairly straightforward repair. Anything modern would be a write off.

Yes Sir, I got off light. Went back out to look and the speedo cup and left switchgear have rash as well. Ground the left grip to the bar and a broken front blinker stem. I don't think the bar is bent. I will only replace the shift lever, the clutch lever ,and the muffler mounts for now and get the bike back on the road.

It may have been me, as I have a Hinckley Triumph clutch lever:

It's not a simple plug and play job, unfortunately.
You'll need the Triumph clutch perch and the Triumph switch cube.
The latter will need to be wired into the harness.
For me, this wasn't a problem, as I was rewiring the bike from scratch.

That Doherty clutch perch and lever is what i went with. Ordered parts from Fair Spares today. Should be ready for the "Harvest Classic" rally end of the month. Thank you for the speedo cup offer,Jerry. I will wear the scars on the bike for a bit as a reminder to how quickly things can go wrong. 80$ for a mark3 gear lever! Orale'!

Glad you're ok, not a pleasant experience!

' riding their big bikes with only shorts, t shirts sometimes singlet and thongs (flip flops to some) on their feet, the Harley guys seem to be the worst ones for it' = Darwin in action!
