Unfortunately it is fiberglass, but it’s very thick fiberglass. I’m going to seal it with caswell sealer and hope for the best. If I can find a gas station without ethanol I’ll just use that. This “probably” won’t be a long ride bike...unless...it rides so nice I won’t want to get off of it.
There should be a gas station that sells Rec90 gas. 90 octane and ethanol free, meant for recreational vehicles.

Here in CT you can't use it in any road going vehicle. They sell it in 5 gallon cans, for lawn mowers and such. They won't let you pump it into your bike.

We have a Marathon and can pump into vehicle for now. Cost a bit more, but good to use once in a while to keep things clean. With a fiberglass tank, I would use only nonethanol(to be safe).

Jean(dr) once took a tank (or two) and cut the bottoms out so that he could reline the entire tank with vinyl ester resin. I wonder how those tanks are holding up?

I run with fibreglass tank , luckily, here none-E gas is still available , still I buy a 5gal. can of race gas 116oct at local bike shop , mix it with high test to get roughly 100oct , Bike loves it as do plugs and carb , could be option for you if Engine is high comp. ..... use K-100 as stabilizer in the race gas ...

Gonna be a great looking bike!

I have to ask, how the hell is your bike so perfectly balanced on that stand? It looks like there's nothing securing it!

Tank just came, I’m so pumped!

Gus Kuhn it is!!!

It’s not even a stand, it’s a planter turned upside down and it balances perfectly.

I agree with Pete, she handles beautifully even on a planter.

I’ve committed 100% to a racer and I’m really excited.

I’ve found a front fairing and seat pan to complete the design and the bracket for the front fairing looks a little dated.

I don’t have it yet, but I should have it next week.

Does anyone have any pictures of the fairing brackets and how your fairings are attached to your frame?

I’ve searched this site, but any fairing questions and pictures are photobucket and I don’t have that so the images are blurred.

Any pics will be appreciated.
