It's a crank seal conversion on a pre unit triumph timing cover
I'd like to know what seal it is so I can replace it
It's metal housing with a seal inside
No circlip to retain it

Measure the I/D of the casting and the O/D of the shaft portion plus seal thickness and you'll get what you need.
Pretty sure if you get a more modern seal type ( TC rather than TB ) you'll get a rubber seal with twin lip instead of metal clad with single lip.

Why, it's an RTB1800, of course..
What are they used on? Where can I get one if needed?
I've seen plenty of oil seal conversions on pre unit triumphs but never this type
And they are usually retained with a circlip

I’ve got the usual black seal held by a circlip conversion on my own T110. Maybe the metal case on your seal is tight enough unclipped, but who knows…

I some people will only use Pioneer Weston brand seals in that application. Supposed to be less prone to invert under pressure.
