Any luck with RGM?

Newman Cams will make a cam to your own specifications at no extra charge. Nitrided steel. I recently received one. Looks good but it will be a while before i install it. Graham

PW3 cam from Newman Cams? Possibly if they have the specs. Or you could supply the specs. Duration for Inlet and Exhaust at 40 or 50 thou, lobe centres, lift for Inlet and Exhaust. Lifters flat or radiused. PW3 is a race cam for a race engine, not very suitable for the street. Combat 2S cam would be similar. Graham

Here at AN we used to get all our cams from DNC but now we don't despite the fact we used to get them very cheap.
The PW3 data was corrected by Pete himself a year or so prior to his passing as it contained errors according to Pete, as far as I know we are the only holders of that new grind data. There are thousands of PW3 being used on the road with no issues, so it is not just a race cam.

The only problem with the AN cams is they’re so pretty it seems a shame to put in your engine !!

Any luck with RGM?

We used the PW3 in all Commandos we built in the last 25 years or so, road and track, and they work really well in both applications. I think the only one in our fleet that does not have a PW3 cam is the TX750 shortstroke racer where we used the PW4 Peter drew up for us in his last year and of which we made a very small number.
My shortstroke road Commando has the PW3, so has my son Tim's standard stroke Commando.
I have yet to see a faulty cam in one of our bikes, but then we always used our own camshafts and previously sourced the PW3s from Mick Hemmings until we obtained his copyrights.
