Any ideas?

MK3.....removing left side crank bits.
I am having a lot of trouble removing the inner race #06-5820. It normally slides on and off but it feels glued onto the crankshaft. Any ideas how to make it budge?

No way to get behind it

Heat, use a small blowlamp like the ones sold for cooks. line the inside of the sprocket recess with a wrap of tin. If that fails use a bearing puller to get behind the sprocket and pull the lot off. Many years ago the first time i pulled the sprocket off my first Mk3 i used a three legged puller, gripping onto the rim of the sprocket.

There are knife edge bearing separators that can be clamped down onto seeming no gap to get behind the bearing. Having only the inner left on makes it easier.
