Several years ago, out for a ride on the MK3 my drive chain broke. As far as I could tell it was original to the bike. I was about two miles from home and was standing there scratching my head, when a guy in a van pulled up and asked if I needed help. We lifted the commando into the back of his van, and I stood in the back to steady it while we headed to my house. The whole operation took less than thirty seconds. I considered myself pretty lucky....
Later I got to thinking just how quickly a bike can "disappear". I don't generally go places and leave the bike out of my sight, but I did last weekend, (Laconia) and it was on my mind that I would return to find no bike. I was wondering if anybody here has any suggestions or experiences with security devices, alarms, GPS etc. I guess there are no sure ways to secure a bike, but a little peace of mind would be nice.
