Hi all,
Such is the level of political correctness in Oz that if it was up to the ideologues who run Radio National (i presume it to be the equivalent of Radio 1) they would de-platform this entire forum for it’s lack of inclusivity and being primarily devoted to and subscribed by privileged white males.
The forum is lacking a mechanism to ensure cultural and sexual diversity and positive steps to reduce greenhouse emission. In fact Norton’s lack of an (effective) electric start is yet another example of misogyny by a dinosaur, non WOKE British industry in limiting genders other than cis-male from operating the bike.
Norton’s emphasis on performance rather than low emissions is an example of male inadequacy and the entire nature and function of bike is a representative of the phallus. This why the explains the average age of the owner is in his sixties and is attempting to continue to assert his diminishing sexual potency in an age that has moved on. Even the sound of Norton is a micro-aggression.
The fruits of British industrialisation that gave us our Commandos we’re fertilised with the sweat and blood of proud cultures that were colonised, exploited, then enslaved.
Back to the original title, ATF should not be considered as a fluid or an oil but an ideologically unsound man made (emphasis on man) poisonous pollutant, designed to lubricate male egos and and leak from ideologically unsound and outdated contraptions that are destroying the biosphere and contributing to global warming!

20 years ago, I had to look up "misogyny". This year my kids used the term when I suggested it would be nice if more women wore summer dresses...

I disagree with the case you made:
1. Priveledged. Since I bought my Commando, I'm skint;
2. Reducing greenhouse emissions. I fitted a reed breather valve on advice from the forum;
3. No electric start. Mine's a Mk3
4. Age. 56
5. I use oil in my primary, not ATF
I take the 5th on the phallus point, having converted my roadster to an interstate... On the colonialism point, that was all pre-Brexit and we now look on those nations as our friends and future global trading partners.

Happy to set the record straight :)

Yours,
Disgusted of Essex (England)

What bothers me is that all this , not so long ago, used to be just laughing at the PC crowd. Now it isn't funny because we have reached a point where it is wise to keep your mouth shut about it in a lot of circumstances. Hard to believe 1984 would come true but it actually has. We aren't talking about 'activists' and the 'media' here we are talking about genuine, 100% actions of our elected officials. Not funny one iota.
:-(

I would completely agree with you, except for how damaging it is to transsexuals or non-binary persons when you refer to owners and "his" diminishing sexual potency.
What about the other 37 genders?
Aren't they people too?
:p

Wow...gender fluid sounds,er, um, rather tacky..oh that isn't the right word either!

It's a thing - look it up

Life was so much simpler when there were only 2 genders...
When white men came to North America, they brought the notion of two genders with them.

At the point of contact, all Native American societies acknowledged three to five gender roles: Female, male, Two Spirit female, Two Spirit male and transgendered.
