Another recommissioning project for me

Good one, thanks Steve.
I really must get my T160 on the road again, so I'm following this thread with bated breath. Mine is a US import, god knows when it last actually ran. I bought it in 2008 and for various (not really good) reasons, it's been in my workshop since.
I envy your tank though - I bought mine via Fleabay, and while the seller was really helpful, I think he switched the tank - in the photos it looked really nice, in real fife it was badly sun faded & scratched, with some rust on the bottom. I patched it up, lined the tank and spray canned it black so it looks reasonable, but nowhere near yours.

This tank was only 12 years old and then removed and repainted, and it’s stayed indoors for the past 33 years.

A little bit more progress today

Refilled the oil tank with fresh dino pee and then kicked it over a few times until I decided I’d use the lecky leg and get the battery to whizz it round. Did that until I could see fresh oil returning to the tank.

Next I’ll get some fuel and cross fingers see if it will once again run. Before I do that I’ll set up the camera in a tripod and see if I can record this historic occasion.

Not tomorrow as there’s an autojumble to visit.
