Just wanted to say hi. I live in Perth, West Oz. I have a '73 850 Interstate (and a '95 Trident), starts and runs well, but a little tired (especially the chrome). I have nearly finished building my workshop, it's been the subject of a battle with the shire council for 18 months, but I'm close! When I have somewhere to do it I'm looking forward to giving the Norton a pull through, powder coating and chroming, updating a few things (such as the brake MC resleeve). I'll probably post more questions than opinions, this seems to be a very technical oriented forum and I lack the practical experience to be advising people. This is the third forum I have joined, the others are bike forums as well; Perth Street Bikes and Triumph Rat. PSB is very clicky, very young male sports bike crowd, Triumph Rat is just a great social mix and source of info (and there are a few familiar names from there on here - hi GrandPaul, HighDesert!). And thanks to Jerry Doe for putting this together, and I love your roadster rebuild pics and the finished bike (although they're never really finished)

This is the interweb, good sir. Advice is welcome from all. You never know when some tidbit of information that you have may be useful to someone.

(although they're never really finished) That's what makes it fun! We can all learn together.

G'day mate, your in luck. Perth has excellent sources for Commando expertise and parts. If you need advice or help the guru is Kelvin, he's in Vic Park. Call 0417 7727 474.

Cheers,
Mick
